Sambodhi provides services to federal agencies, donors, foundations and corporates, in areas of public health, HIV/AIDS, livelihood, nutrition, water and sanitation, environment, and renewable energy. We have made valuable contribution in monitoring, learning and evaluation programs and have influenced development policies and improved implementation efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will perform the following key functions:

A. Business Development & Market Intelligence

  • Independently take ownership from the lead stage to the commissioning of opportunities.
  • Closely work with the Government Advisory vertical.
  • Independently respond to requests for proposals (RfPs) and expressions of interest (EoIs) of government clients.
  • Engage with potential clients – prepare and deliver presentations of proposals, track submitted bids, and analyze reasons for success and failure.
  • Identify bidding and business opportunities through the web and other publicly accessible sources. Develop opportunities with new and existing clients, track upcoming RFPs, lead proposal development teams, etc.
  • Evaluate bidding and business opportunities.
  • Identifying intelligence indicators and mapping potential competitors for specific bids and in the broader sectoral landscape.
  • Gather intelligence on potential leads and actively pursue subsequent conversion to opportunities and commissioning.
  • Assist in contract negotiations.
  • Apply unique skills and interests to develop new opportunity domains.

B. Partnerships & Collaborations

  • Take the lead in scouting, shortlisting, and selecting individuals and organizations for potential partnerships on a bid-specific or general basis.
  • Liaison with partner organizations, consultants, vendors, and other relevant agencies.

C. Bid Preparedness

  • Develop and update organizational collaterals, such as capability documents, resumes, project description sheets, annual reports, etc.

D. Marketing & Outreach

  • Help create space and ensure visibility of the organization at relevant public events/workshops/seminars.
  • Help create avenues for dialogue with print and electronic media.
  • Actively meet potential partners and clients on a regular basis.

Education:
Postgraduate in Business/Rural/Development Economics and/or Management or any other Post-graduation with relevant experience.

Experience:
2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the development sector or Monitoring & Evaluation domains.

Personal Competencies:

  • Thematic understanding of various sectors in the social and development domain.
  • Proven influencer and communicator with senior stakeholders within and outside the organization.
  • Flair for building quality relationships with clients at all levels upto the CxO level.
  • High level of involvement, engagement, and ownership.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience working on government tenders.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand, appreciate & establish processes as needed.
