Learning Webinar Series

Sambodhi’s Centre for Health Systems Research & Implementation (CHSRI), will be conducting a series of webinars focusing on the diverse aspects of Health System Strengthening, addressing key topics such as inequities, digital health potential, climate resilience, gender dynamics and others.

The webinars will be conducted monthly, with each session led by an internal researcher alongside an external field expert, and a designated moderator facilitating the discussions.

Prof. Jagrook Dawra

Chairperson
Post Graduate Program, IIM Raipur

Prof. Jagrook Dawra is a seasoned academic and researcher with over two decades of experience, currently serving as Chairperson of the Post Graduate Program at IIM Raipur.

His expertise in marketing and consumer behavior extends into exploring how cultural nuances shape public health responses, offering a unique lens on health systems design.

Building on this, Prof. Dawra developed a COVID-19 compliance model that used daily data to demonstrate how cultural dimensions shape public acceptance of health mandates, with government lockdown stringency mediating this relationship.

Shikha has over eight years of experience leading research and evaluations in Maternal Health, Social Norms, Women’s Empowerment, Nutrition, and WASH.

A skilled professional on the use of data and evidence for decision-making, she brings an impressive background in global development and coalition building.

Shikha holds a postgraduate degree from the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratization.

Vikas Choudhry (Moderator)

Vikas is a social epidemiologist with extensive experience in strengthening health systems, promoting sexual and reproductive health, and the rights of young people.

Vikas has worked with a wide array of organizations, including academia, UN agencies, philanthropic foundations, multi-lateral agencies, National and State Governments, and policy think tanks.

Vikas holds a Ph.D. from Lund University, Sweden. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship from the EU.
