Diagnosing the impact of decentralized solar on agriculture and rural livelihoods in Rajasthan

We collaborated with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to assess feeder-level solarization under PM-KUSUM in Rajasthan. Through a mixed-methods rapid assessment, we generated evidence on power reliability, agricultural productivity, and household well-being, with recommendations to strengthen digital governance and scale clean energy access.

Evaluating regenerative agriculture in the cotton value chain

We partnered with IDH to evaluate a regenerative agriculture programme in Madhya Pradesh’s cotton value chain. Drawing on OECD-DAC criteria, Theory of Change, and tools spanning GHG accounting, water-use efficiency, and biodiversity indices, we strengthened learning and reporting on how regenerative practices deliver both procurement compliance for brands and economic returns for farmers.

Evaluating a guarantee fund de-risking agri-enterprise lending

We partnered with Rabo Foundation on a Year-III assessment of a 50% pari-passu guarantee fund de-risking NBFC lending to high-risk agri-enterprises across India and Africa. Through SROI analysis, benchmarking, and structured surveys, we delivered design recommendations and a strategic regrouping pathway, surfacing the need for technical assistance and integrated climate risk assessment in lending decisions.

Evaluating portfolio performance on air quality and climate co-benefits

We partnered with Clean Air Fund to evaluate their pan-India portfolio on air pollution, informing future funding strategy. Our evaluation engaged research organisations, implementing partners, advocacy firms, and government stakeholders, surfacing the institutional invisibility of air and climate co-benefits and the cross-departmental gaps holding back high-impact sectors like stubble burning and clean cooking.

Measuring the impact of nature-based solutions for smallholder agriculture

We partnered with Axis Bank Foundation to evaluate a nature-based solutions programme working with smallholder farmers across Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Through structured surveys and MEL support, we strengthened programme accountability and generated evidence on community tank rejuvenation as a climate-resilient response to erratic rainfall and rainfed agriculture vulnerability.
