Development of Applied Knowledge and Skills for Human Development (DAKSH), Tracer Study

An initiative by the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), Government of Maharashtra, supported by the World Bank.

About the DAKSH Tracer Study

The Government of Maharashtra, in partnership with the World Bank, is implementing the DAKSH (Development of Applied Knowledge and Skills for Human Development) Project to enhance vocational training quality and improve employment outcomes for ITI graduates. As part of this initiative, the Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) is undertaking a Tracer Study to assess ITI graduates’ employment experiences and the relevance of their training to labour market needs.

The World Bank has engaged Sambodhi Research and Communications Pvt. Ltd. as the technical agency to design and implement the study. Sambodhi’s team will coordinate with ITIs across Maharashtra to access 2024 graduate contact lists and work with designated ITI focal persons to ensure smooth data collection.

DKSHMH is the selected message header for this study. The first four letters ‘DKSH’ are a short form of the project name, i.e., Development of Applied Knowledge and Skills for Human Development (DAKSH) Project, while ‘MH’ is the short form for the state in which the project is currently running, i.e., Maharashtra.

How It Works

  • The study is being conducted by Sambodhi Research and Communications, the technical agency appointed by the World Bank.
  • Graduates from selected ITIs across Maharashtra who completed their training in 2024 will receive the DAKSH Tracer Survey link via Email, WhatsApp, and SMS.
  • The short online survey (10–15 minutes) asks about your training experience, current job status, and future career goals.

Why Your Feedback Matters

Your participation will directly help shape better training programs and improve employment outcomes for future ITI students in Maharashtra. By sharing your experience:

  • You help identify which skills and trades are leading to good jobs.
  • You guide your ITI and the Government of Maharashtra to improve training quality.
  • You contribute to building a stronger, future-ready workforce for the state.

If you are an ITI graduate, check your Email, WhatsApp, or SMS for the official DAKSH Tracer Survey link and fill it out at the earliest. Every response counts! We also encourage ITI principals, placement officers, and faculty to support and motivate all graduates to participate in this important initiative.

Together, let’s build a stronger future for Maharashtra’s skilled youth.
