Biography

Gaurav Godhwani is co-founder and director at CivicDataLab - a research lab harnessing data, tech, design, and social science to strengthen access to open data and enhancing civic engagements in India. He is focused to grow open data innovations in sectors like Public Finance, Law & Justice, Urban Planning, Education and more. Currently, he is working closely with various national and state governments, civil-societies, academia, and other actors to bring data-driven policy reforms in India.

He has been instrumental in starting data initiatives like DataKind Bangalore, Open Budgets India, Justice Hub & Open Contracting India.
