In addition to Journal and working paper series, Sambodhi has been instrumental in publishing Book and Manual to further advance the capacities of researchers, academicians and practitioners at different level in areas of research, monitoring, evaluation and data analytics. A snap shot of Book and Manual published/contribute by Sambodhi are detailed herewith:
1. QUANTITATIVE SOCIAL RESEARCH METHODS
The book explores the entire spectrum of quantitative social research methods and their application, with special reference to the development sector. It provides detailed coverage of all statistical research and analysis method with an emphasis on multivariate analysis techniques, such as regression discriminant analysis, logistic regression, factor, cluster, correspondence and conjoint analysis.
The first section introduces development research techniques, explores the genesis and scope of social research and research processes. The second focusses on the application of social and development research methods in the development sector.
The books aims to serve as a definitive guide to quantitative methods of social research and so will be of particular interest to those conducting research in any discipline of the social sciences today.
2. BASIC AND ADVANCED DATA ANALYTICS
The book is an attempt to provide handholding support to SPSS learners, users and practitioners. It vividly presents the various themes and foci that researchers encounter, in a simple, clear, coherent and consistent manner and demystify the basic nuances and logic of data analytics.
It serves as a guide to equip students with conceptual and practical research tools as well as providing definitive reference for researchers, to carry out data analytics for social research studies and procedures.
This book could work as a handbook for practitioners who deal primarily with large data sets and help them come up with logical analysis and findings.
1. DEVELOPING MONITORING AND EVALUATION FRAMEWORK FOR BUDGET WORK PROJECTS
The manual aims to enable budget work practitioners to develop and implement frameworks to aid monitoring and evaluation of their budget work projects. It would also help practitioners in mapping the conceptual terrain of their work and develop a clear roadmap of what they seek to achieve thorough their work with distinct milestones and achievable results.
The guide has been developed as a handy reference for practitioners of budget work in developing simple and robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks for their budget work projects. This manual would also be of special interest to experts in the field of policy analysis and advocacy, wherein it is difficult to demonstrate impact and isolate contribution in what is a dynamic multi-stakeholder and complex working environment.
The guide is a product of the collaborative process undertaken by National Foundation of India (NFI) with its six partner budget groups for basic monitoring and evaluation sensitization through a series of workshops.
2. MONITOIRNG AND EVALUATION MANUAL FOR MADHYA PRADESH RURAL LIVELIHOOD PROJECT (MPRLP)
The manual recapitulates the fundamental concepts related to projects and reinforces understanding of the user. It builds on this understanding to introduce the concept of theory and change and the process of developing one.
The manual has been developed as a handy orientation for practitioners under the MPRL Project to develop their own monitoring and evaluation frameworks by following an easy step-by-step process.
It would also help practitioners in mapping the intangible landscape of their work and develop a clear roadmap of what they seek to achieve thorough their work with distinct milestones and achievable results. The manual has been developed for the Project Facilitation Team (PFT) members of the MPRL Project to develop a hands on monitoring and evaluation framework congruent to the project objectives.
